I have used em on several 14'ers and hikes in the past year, and ther great... once you get them broken-in.very stable in rocky terrain and with heavy loads makeshur you keep leather waterproofing on hand, the lustrus shine will fade, show scuffs and eventuly let water in if you don't keep them treated.
