This shoe is great for day to day wearing and feels light like a sandal. The stealth rubber makes it a rock shoe for all day. It dries very quickly and is the only shoe that I bring on the road with me.

The D'Aescent is great for everything from wearing around town, to approach/hiking, and even climbing on easy terrain. The shoe is super light and breathable. The Stealth rubber is super sticky, but has also held up really well: I have worn my D'Aescents several times a week all day for about 4 months and there is very little wear so far.
One note: the shoe sizes like a climbing shoe, so if you want it to fit like a street shoe, size one full size up.

Great for scrambling around on boulders or rocky terrain, and for everyday use. Not great for actual climbing. Had to send back original pair and order full size larger.

I just got these shoes this summer and had a couple of months to wear them, it seems that the new rubber that they put on the shoe holds up! I don't think I have even got half way through the rubber and I wear them every day. I took these rock hopping to a fishing area in rocky mountain N.P. and I never slipped once. I think they are a great all around shoe, I wear them running around town, on the trails, at the gym and I am totally confident doing a scary approach to some climbing areas.

The D'Ascent is my new favorite approach shoe. Wether you're alpine bouldering or just kickin' it around town, they get the job done. Super light weight and super sticky.

I had read that they ran a little small so I ordered a half size bigger than I normally wear. Unfortunately even a half size bigger still feels like a full size too small. Aside from the sizing, they look and feel great.

The catalog suggested this was a shoe for "urban hiking", presumably meaning wearing around town. Wrong! It has a climbing shoe forefoot, and is sized for climbing. The heel has some padding, so you would feel more comfortable walking down from a climb in this otherwise mediocre climbing shoe with too many compromises.
