These,"shoes", are quite unique. They are actually a little more like a slipper than a shoe. They are great for indoor use with occasional trips out to the woodpile. They have soft rubber soles that are only minimaly agressive but are waterproof so they will fend off the mud and snow when you do venture out, however they are just too light and flexible for any truely serious walking. They are great to wear around the cabin or possibly in your tent instead of a down bootie. I liked them enough to keep them, in fact, I'm wearing them right now! They do seem to run large....wide in particular. I had to play around with the insoles to make them fit properly.
If you're looking for a more agressive wool shoe, check out the Keen Wool Whistler. If you want a lighter leaner more slipperlike shoe then these are for you!
The Leadville slipper fills my need for a comfortable slipper that can also go outdoors to fill the birdfeeder or go to the movies. It is warm and very comfortable around the house. The fit is typical of a Keene design - quite wide, so I need socks to make it fit. This isn't a shoe to wear on a long walk on uneven surfaces; but it's the perfect vehicle for a weekend around the house with a trip to the market or a movie.
