Sizing:
Feels half size too small
Width:
Feels too narrow
Describe Yourself:
Casual/ Recreational
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

I picked these up through another retailer. These had great reviews on some other sites touting them as lightweight, good wearing and particularly suited for wet weather wear and getting soaked in streams....and with no real leather, they recovered well.

I think they had all that potential but not for my feet...so often Salomon is too narrow for me and knew I was taking a chance with these but just did not workout. My true size is 12.5 and just a little wider than a D so I have a hard time getting a good fit and mostly go with 13, which I tried but still too narrow and toes rubbing.

Not as light as listed here.

Pros:
Comfortable, Good arch support, Good cushioning
Cons:
Actually weighed 2 lbs 15 oz
Best Uses:
Backcountry, Day hikes, Wet weather

Haven't used this boot yet, just tried them on around the house, and they seem very supportive and comfortable. However, they are quite a bit heavier than listed here. (I thought 1 lb 2 oz. seemed too good to be true) At 2 lbs 15 oz (size 9-1/2) I may instead try the La Sportiva Trango S EVO GTX, which claims 2 lbs 10 oz for full on mountaineering boot. More support for 5 oz less! (If that weight is true!)
