Another great boot from Asolo. It is light and has very good traction going up and down rocky trails.
This coming winter, I will use them for some mountaineering applications. For now, "breaking them in" and hiking in S. California, they are great. I am using Thorlos thick cushion trekking socks and this is a great combination.
The burning question: How warm will these boots be in cold conditions in a place like Mt. Shasta?

I just tried the new 2006 Asolo's Titan during a somewhat rocky alpine hike in South of France. I really enjoyed the Titan's wide range of possible use: Lightweight for easy approach, technical and precise enough to feel confident during engaged parts, stable and non-slippy thanks to a new Vibram sole design which prove to be quite efficient, even in wet conditions. I do not put 5 stars...so far... they'll deserve it after 2 or 3 successful seasons ;) A good "all around" choice anyway.
