Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

I bought these to climb Raineer this fall, and they were perfect. They're comfortable enough that I used them as an approach shoe and with automatic crampons on moderately steep ice. They're also lightweight, and have been warm down to at least 10F. Construction quality seems top-notch. Expensive, but you get what you pay for.
