Well worth the money. Can be used from everything from a house slipper to a light hiking shoe. Useful enough to make owning two pairs worthwhile. I prefer the H2 to the H1 for situations where my travels are likely to take me around and through water.

After 3 years of hardcore everyday use (I am a field botanist so I wear my footwear hard!) my original pair of Newport h2s finally wore out. I just bought another two pairs to replace them! As a botanist in Everglades National Park, I am constantly in and out of water and mud and these shoes are perfect. They dry quickly and provide just enough protection so that I don't screw my feet up when hiking through thorny tangled vines. I have worn these shoes backpacking out west, botanizing in the northeast, and walking up streams in the caribbean: they have been perfect in every application. I would strongly recommend these shoes!

I purchased three pairs of the Newport H2 for my family before we go on a vacation to Jamiaca. These shoes will be excellent to use on any of our tours including Dunns River Falls.

i have had two pairs and they both survived pure hell for allmost two years each. i wore them about 9 months of the year, mountain biked, backpacked, kayaked, rafted, canoed, traveled, everything they are the best all purpose shoe every created! i have tons of friends who have bought them since checking mine out, and they all love them! only bad thing about them, which is so unimportant compared with their performence, is that sometimes, they can smell pretty bad, however, all sandels smell, show me pair that don't! buy them

I actually bought these shoes for my brother as a gift. But have these shoes for myself and my husband. They are all we wore for a month in Italy. They were perfect for all the walking we did both in the cities and off the beaten track. I would recommend these shoes to anyone looking to purchase a comfortable pair of walking shoes. My only negative would be the zebra stripes I obtained on my feet from wearing them everyday. They are even easy to clean and fast drying after wearing them in the ocean fishing

I got these specifically to do some heavy walking near beach areas - in and out of the water.

I had other sandals (Teva) that ended tearing the skin off my ankles after they got wet and I continued walking. This was due to the one-sided suspension system.

These are great in comparison. No stress points, even all the way around your foot. Love to wear these all weekend long.

I like the toe coverage, but it does make them kinda clunky looking, but I really don't care that much.

I was looking for a pair of sport sandals with toe protection for the hiking days and water (I'd hit my toes pretty hard a couple of times going through streams and rivers) though these are great for any day. We've had a lot of rain lately and these offer me stability and quick drying footwear that has been and stayed comfortable from the first minute I tried them on. They are cool in the heat and yet I have the coverage I want for more terrain. I'm also a woman with larger feet, so trying the men's sizes I was surprised at how light they were and how well they molded to my foot. I LOVE these. If they ever break I will mourn them and immediately look for a new pair, though they feel so sturdy I don't see that happening anytime soon. [...] Thanks!!

After three years of food serving and three pregnancies, I need comfortable shoes. I ordered a pair for myself and I really like them. I wear them alot; I even do yard work in them. I ordered a pair for my husband also. He's a restaurant manager and has bunions, so his shoes definitely need to be comfortable. He really likes his too. He has been going up and down a ladder the last few days building a pergola, and he says they don't slip. They also rinse off really well. The insoles don't get that stinky leather smell that some sandals get after a while. We are both happy with these shoes. Spouses agreeing, can you believe it?

Like driving a Porsche vs a minivan. Comfort is astounding, and you feel in touch with the ground at all times. I have worn these on numerous strenuous hikes in the Rockies already. Only problem is the lack of a back to keep out rocks and debris. The arch support is superb.

Have only worn a few days but immediately noticed the fit smaller than I expected. I'd order 1/2 size bigger than normal next time. Overall feel good but seems to feel 'thin' beneath the balls of my feet. Noticed a 'straining' under the pinky toe of my feet. As if very slightly bruised after multi hour wear. May be a 'breaking in thing' but the waterproof leather Teva's I had before didn't exhibit this feeling.

I put them on to try them out. I only meant to wear to them for about an hour but I wound up wearing for the rest of the day including treking to a baseball game, which was the origenal intent. They worked well, comfortable fit and no 'toe stepping' because of the covered toe. Better than sneakers because they are open.

Awesome fit and feel. I bought the mens pair for a birthday present for my husband who spends a lot of time fishing both by wading and on boats and docks. He absolutely loves them!!

I teach water aerobics and do water rehab and therapy and walk on a lot of wet surfaces. They are perfect for me in every way.
