These are the best Tevas they ever made, I now have 5 pairs and I love them all, to bad that they stopped making them.

These are my third pair of Teva Stratums (Strata?). [...] They have the best arch support for high arches of any Tevas I've tried, and they absorb shock well, which is why I've bought them so many times. For comparison, the arch support is almost as good as Chaco sandals, but the Tevas have better shock absorption (at least for me). The fits is good and adjustable, and my foot stays still even when the sandal is wet. The downside of these sandals is that I only get 4-5 months of near daily wear out of them before my 210lbs frame squashes the insole to the point my knees and lower back start to hurt. Also, they're advertised as having odor-resistant footbeds, which is great, but the neoprene strap pads can get fairly raunchy. Repeated washing and application of a anti-odor spray usually does the trick for a month or two.
I use them primarily for daily wear and nearly daily paddling, but I've done some light day-hikes in them, too. The soles are better than typical rubber soles for walking in streams and on wet rocks, but they're not nearly as good as felt soles or even the rock-climbing rubber soles used by some shoes. I've had a pair of Nike sandals that were better on wet rocks. Since the soles are kind of soft, I usually wear the soles out by the time the insole ceases to be shock absorbing.
Since fit and comfort are foremost for me ahead of longevity, I haven't found a better sandal.
