The shoes look great, but the arch in Montrail shoes have never felt "right" on my feet. Mayb it will take some getting used to. The shoes are very cool looking, but my feet were not "singing" the first time I tried them on. I still think they will be solid.

montrail; an exemplary product
By Fischer: climber, biker, mountaineer.Verified Purchaser from Boulder, CO. on 6/5/2006
Pros:
Comfortable, Good arch support, Good cushioning, Non-slip sole, Scree collar is a plus, Stable
Cons:
Would love stealth rubber
Best Uses:
Approach, Backcountry, Day hikes, Everyday

Montrail makes the best outdoor shoes out there. Their fit and finish is excellent, and their use of quality materials and construction process results in a shoes that outlasts any competitor. I would like to see them team up with Stealth to put some sticky rubber on their shoes. Thereby making them the perfect approach shoes. One of the Montrails best attributes is their full length protection plate, which insulates the foot from rocks and roots and helps edging stiffness.
