Laptop work bag

Minimalist
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

This is now my new all-around breifcase, book-bag, laptop case. It replaced a more bulky targus bag I carried for 6 years. This one holds a lot of stuff (a small x60 laptop, 2 books, 3 or 4 file folders, power supply, various cables, bulky earphone headset, and magazines). It fits nicely under the airplane seat - with room left for my feet.

Excellent, practical design.

Good padding, Large capacity, Very adjustable
Best Uses:
Day trip, Work city jungle travel

Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Love the practical freedom that you get when using it as a travel suitcase with out losing all the service needed from a regular one. Perfect for life styles on the Go. Great compartments for all kind of stuff, and the best it feels strong like all Arc'Terix products. Good investment that becomes needed.

Better than it looks!
By Sammy In TownVerified Purchaser from New York on 10/6/2006
Pros:
Exact size description, Good Padding, Very Sturdy Construction
Cons:
None
Best Uses:
Best for Computer, Briefcase with straps, Business or work, Not a day pack, Travel

Compact, very well-made (typical Arcteryx quality construction), all openings on the long side like a briefcase. Not for camping or hiking, unless you are bringing only a computer and your lunch and a few other small items.

Good design in a small size
By HobbitditzVerified Purchaser from Woodinville, WA on 9/1/2006
Pros:
Can't be over-loaded, Comfortable, Good Padding, Hugs your back, Lightweight, Nice looking, Rides high, Tight fit for 17" PB
Cons:
Dangling shoulder straps, Side handle surperfluous, Too small for carry-on
Best Uses:
Going to meetings

This is a good pack for taking what you need to meetings but too small for use as a primary carry-on pack on an airplane or for trips. Not suitable for hiking, trail running, etc. It fits well against your back, rides high, and is comfortable. My 17" PowerBook just BARELY fits (stresses the zipper when zipped). It's nice looking and well made (sewing and attention to detail). The side (briefcase) handle is rather surpurfluous, since the shoulder straps just dangle when you carry it that way and there's no where to put them (no pocket to stuff them in). It's a very small capacity pack, which makes it slim and sleek, but not much room to carry things in.

Durable Pack, Very Spacious.
By East Coast Mountain ManVerified Reviewer from Nashua, NH on 7/6/2006
Pros:
Highly Adjustable, Large Capacity
Cons:
Needs More Padding
Best Uses:
Corporate Rat Race, Travel

I love this pack. It is durable and spacious, and protects all my stuff ??? laptop, portable hard drives, iPod, cell phone, papers, notebook, AC adapters, cell phone chargers and more. With the Arc'Teryx logo embroidered on the outside, it subtly thumbs its nose at corporate America. Tuck a little trail mix into the front pocket, and you can fool yourself into believing you are heading to the mountains instead of the confines of a cubical farm [...].

When I travel with this pack, or just head to the office, I think of my Arc'Teryx Bora 80 and smile, and I escape to the top of Mt. Lafayette with a stiff breeze in my face ever-so-briefly.

This is the only laptop bag I have owned that did not self-destruct after a year. It is comfortable for carrying through airports, since it has two wide, padded shoulder straps, and tucks nicely under the seat in front of you when some schmoe has placed a suitcase large enough to house his entire family in the overhead above your seat, even though he is sitting about 11 rows behind you.

Best product in its category
By MARVerified Purchaser from Redmond, WA on 2/3/2006
Pros:
Good padding, Large capacity, Professional style, Very adjustable
Cons:
Laptop area large so it may slide around
Best Uses:
Carrying laptop

I looked at several packs, various brands, colors etc for about 3 months before I chose this one. Elegant and stylish. Looks professional which most packbacks don't. I would recommend buying a laptop "sleeve" to further protect the computer.
