The Jester Pack from The North Face is built tough to withstand the abuses of campus life and features a large main compartment that's just perfect for books and binders.

The Sabre fabric is treated with a DWR (durable water repellant) finish to shed rain and is highly abrasion resistant
The front accessory pocket comes complete with an organizer and key clip so you can keep track of small items
A bungee system on the upper pack face is ideal for stashing your jacket when the morning chill wears off
Two side mesh pockets carry water bottles or what have you
Removable hipbelt comes in handy when you're carrying a heavy load, but can be removed when your load lightens
The large reflective patch keeps you visible during evening excursions

My child noticed these backpacks when we went to orientation for her first year of college. We ordered the red one as soon as we returned home. We had her initials monogramed under the Northface logo. The orientation leaders each carried one. Love the red one. Go Hogs!

Zipper covering too big

Best Uses:

Book bag

The only complaint my son has about this bag is that the flap of material covering the zipper makes it difficult to access the zipper. If the Jester can withstand the test of time as a book bag, then it is well worth every dime I paid for it. We're very happy with our purchase.

This bag has everything I need for my school day and all the room in the world for road trips. The straps and extremely comfortable and adjustable and the padding is the perfect amount to make the bag feel lightweight no matter how much is packed in.
