Thankfully I haven't had cause to use them yet but they seem perfect for the emergency survival kit I'm putting together. These emergency bivy's are very light and take up the space of half a can of soup.

I ordered this to carry with me on day trips backcountry skiing/touring/climbing, etc. as an emergency bivy--fortunately I haven't had to use it--so I don't honestly know how it would hold up or how warm it is. But it is tiny, which is awesome. It would fit in my pocket. I put it in my first aid kit to live forever.

We hiked too far from our truck on a Deer hunt, had to bed down for the night. made a pine tree bed and my son and I climbed in. I think the temp went into low 30s. My son is 10. It kept us warm all night but was very tight and we woke with 2 good size rips from branches. The Orange color makes it easy to be seen from the air. Remember to take off Boots, Belt, Knives ect.

It did exactly what it was supposed to. I used it as a bivy for my sleeping bag, which kept we warm, but got the outside of my bag wet with condensation. My bad.
