No, I would not recommend this to a friend
This boot is just way too difficult to get into and to lace up. I was sweating by the time I actually got my foot into the boot. It was so stiff I never felt like I could lace it up tightly. I'm not a huge fan of the zone lacing system either. Plus, I normally wear a 9.5 sized shoe and this boot didn't fit until I reached size 11.
