Cons:

Best Uses:
Building Shelters, Cutting Snow Blocks, Moving lots of snow quickly
Describe Yourself:
Casual/ Recreational
Bottom Line:

I use this shovel regularly to plow through massive quantities of snow in the Sierra. The handle pops into my ice axe loops on both of my packs for extended travel. I have stopped bringing any sort of shelter with me knowing I can quickly build anything from an igloo to a snow grave. The construction seems pretty durable and the blade routinely gets abused breaking up ice, hard snow, and once even cutting downed tree limbs. Note - convince your buddies to buy one too so you aren't the only one doing the work.

Pros:
Easy To Set Up, Lightweight, Rugged, Stable
Best Uses:
Back Country, Extreme Conditions

With this winter being VERY mild, I haven't had a chance to put it to the test. However, I've had enough snow experience (U.S. Army Special Forces) to recognize quality equipment.
