A great product that worked at 19K feet!
By ScooterVerified Reviewer from Burlingame, CA on 12/7/2006
Pros:
Compact, Lightweight, Tough
Best Uses:
Backpacking, Hiking, Mountaineering

I took my Solio, an iPod connector cord and a 12v Solio connector with me on a Kilimanjaro climb in June '06. The Solio worked flawlessly! I charged it fully with the included AC adapter before heading up and used it constantly to keep my iPod and camera batteries full of juice. A few hours of sunlight charged the unit right back up. I also used it as a stand-alone charging unit for everything. Plus, it's green! Buy it, you won't be sorry!

Pros:
Compact
Cons:
Heavy

I thought this charger was horrible - I intend to return it. I brought it to Aconcagua and it worked exactly once for me. Every other time I plugged it in, nothing happened. It was heavier than I expected, and for the weight, I could have brought an ordinary aa battery adapter. Maybe mine was defective, and this is really a great product, but my experience with it was awful.
