Both sets of glasses were given as a gift and Really Liked. Perfect for drinking glasses in this climbers apartment.
It's a great idea. The glass itself is solid but the primary focal point is the Mountain Gear logo as the knots themselves are too "thin" and small. Even those who love knots wil be disappointed. You'll spend more time being annoyed at the logo than thinking about how you will use those knots.
As others have mentioned, there is a Mountain Gear logo on the opposite side from the knots. It's not too large or annoying, but it would have been nice to see it in the images.
Overall, they're quality pint glasses with cool graphics that any climber can appreciate.
Really nice glasses. Great converstaion pieces. Bought them in conjunction with the "Knot Again" glasses.
Bought two sets of these glasses as gifts for a couple of boulderers who drink a lot of beer. Hope they like them and will feel like they are definitely items worth packing up on their next move.
Pint glasses are a great gift. Anything that complements beer is the perfect gift.
[...]We used them right away for my son's college graduation party and he loved them!
It was a gift for my sister-in-law who is in the National Guard. She is in the mountain warfare school and found these to be very helpful in studying and practicing the knots.
This beer glass is awsome it teaches several important knots and holds a frosty brew.
These are some awesome pint glasses. What better way to learn some rope skills than to be enjoying a delicious glass of Wolaver's Organic Pale Ale in a rock on pint glass. They have a good weight to them and they are enjoyed by all.
Great conversation pieces! They're also well made, and dishwasher worthy.
college son does rock climbing and knows a lot of climbing knots. He needed more glasses at the apartment to use with roomates that "won't break". Sturdy pub glasses were perfect, and cool with the knots. Thanks, finally a christmas gift the picky-student appreciates. ;)
