No, I would not recommend this to a friend
The gloves looked great and were a good fit for my hands. I was looking forward to using them for many seasons, but they are not warm enough. I've used them on two trips. The warmest trip was up Mt Baldy in late spring with winds gusting to 30 mph, temps were in the low 50's. My hands were cold with these gloves.
