No, I would not recommend this to a friend
These gloves look great, feel great, and have comfortable liners that are easy to remove and install. The negative part is that the cinch string on the cuff doesn't tighten enough to keep snow out. On snowy days or when submerging hands into snow they fill the inside of the glove. The intent was there but the workings of the cinch string are not effective.
