I live in Alaska. It's July and it's 50 degrees outside. I wear thin polypro-type beanies year round and had my last one for 4 years before I lost it somehow last month. So I bought this one and is as good, if not better, than my last one at keeping my head warm but letting heat escape if I'm moving fast. But I can't machine wash it, so I guess I'll have to start washing my hair. Good day.
I bought this beanie to run in cool weather, and have ran sevral miles in temperatures ranging from 0 degrees to around 25 degrees not including the windchill. It is just enough protection to keep my ears from freezing, but still allow my head to not overheat. Also, when it gets too hot, it is light enough that I can place it in a pocket and not be bothered by it.
I use this product for running, skiing, backpacking or everyday riding my bike around town. I love hot versatile it is and that is why I bought 2 of the same product.
