neck is a little tight for a mock
For its warmth and bulk, this sweater is truely comfortable. It is a perfect sweater for car camping, at home wear or even around town.
Due to its bulk, I would not recommend it for any over night backpacking trips, even though you'll hate to leave it behind. Its size doesn't pack well. If you're loading up the canoe though...toss it in your dry bag for sure.
Sweater wears amazingly well. Its a purchase that would not be regretted.
I like the weight of the nailhead pullover, it has a better fit and look than a regular sweatshirt and the standup collar gives you just a little warth and cover at the neck. Not bulky under a jacket. [...]

Bought two of theses when they first came out a few years ago. Unfortunately, there's just not enough outdoor winter fun in my schedule -- but this year they have become instant change-into's when I get home, to save on energy costs. I live in them evenings and weekends. Still look new after at least 50 washings -- have not pilled. Dry in a flash. VERY warm - not for temps much above 50 deg. F with any activity. They don't seem to have "synthetic odor growth" as bad as some poly fabrics. A little bulky if worn under a snug shell, and might take up a bit more room than you'd want in a smallish pack. Otherwise a good stuffer.
