The material is rugged but comfortable and light. The color tone of lava was better than I expected. This jacket looks better in person than in the pictures. No restriction when moving your arms around. Highly recommend

When in doubt on choosing which jacket to take on an outting... the Synchro is your answer. I love how it is completely waterproof. It feels like it would easily wear out though. However, I have put it through many days of intense rock climbing, rough edges, repelling, you name it, and it shows no signs of wear. It is light in weight and packs down small. Whenever I'm not sure which jacket to use I ALWAYS bring my Synchro. The sleeve pocket is not so easy to use. I find that it opens easily but requires two hand to close. It is a more form fitting jacket so layer for really cold days may be a bit of an issue. With so many colors to choose from, you'll probably buy a second (I did). I have not tried the hooded version yet. I think that this jacket married with a hood may replace 90% of the jackets in your closet.Overall, 5 stars.

This really is waterproof although the only down side of that is no hood, but my OR hat solves that. It's warm, comfy and very stylish. MH has done well.
