I gave this jacket as a birthday present for my boyfriend. He is really picky, but absolutely loves it. He is so excited because he can wear the jacket from hiking to going out at night.

Versital, lightweight, all around jacket
By kjwVerified Purchaser from Pinehurst, Texas on 4/12/2006
Pros:
Breathable, Durable, Lightweight, Warm
Best Uses:
Casual Wear, Hiking and Camping, Travel

Great jacket that fits the bill for every use. Provided warmth in snow, high winds and light drizzle in Moab, Utah area. Perfect to take the chill off in early morning and evening hours. Lightweight and low bulk make it a great add to the daypack for any anticipated or unanticipated mountain weather. I did not have the opportunity to test in a hard rain, but I usually carry a light weight rain jacket in the pack as well.

Fit is tight. I'm usually a medium or large fit (6 feet tall, 185 lbs.). Order one size larger than usual if you want to layer.

By PCVerified Purchaser from Tokyo, Japan on 3/15/2006
Pros:
Compact, Lightweight, Warm
Best Uses:
climbing, Day trip, Hiking

This was the first time I bought outdoor gear by Internet, and I was a little worried If I would get the size of the jacket right. In the end, I had three good surprises:

1) [...]
2) It fits perfectly!
3) It's as lightweight as advertised in the website, and feels really warm.

To summarize: an ideal fleece jacket for those late autumn or early spring days in the mountains.

I originally bought this for hiking, but it is so great, I now wear it everywhere. Perfect as a midlayer for snowboarding, hiking, walking the dog, or just going to the grocery store. Also looks good enough to wear in restaurants.

It's a great jacket all around
By Jake the camping guyVerified Purchaser from Bradley WV on 1/27/2006
Pros:
and it's Breathable, Durable, High Quality
Cons:
A little on the expensive side
Best Uses:
At camp or in town it's a great jacket, from 30 to 60 degrees it's perfect

The wind stopper element in the jacket makes it able to be worn by itself at much lower tempratures than you would at first think. It was sixteen degrees this morning and I was comfortably warm on a ten minute walk with just a long sleeve tee as my base.

Light fabric that really cuts the wind
By Mitch the new outdoorsmanVerified Purchaser from Knoxville, TN on 1/25/2006
Pros:
Durable, Good Value, High Quality, Light-weight fabric

This jacket is exceptional at keeping the wind away. Its light-weight fabric allows for layering if needed and a remarkable wind-stopping capability. It really is amazing that such a light jacket can keep the cold and wind out.

Great city jacket
By Outdoors in the cityVerified Reviewer from San Francisco, CA on 12/9/2005
Pros:
Durable, Easy to wear just about any time, High Quality
Best Uses:
Everyday casual, Hiking

I bought this originally for day hiking in Marin. But at this point, it's my primary jacket because it solves all of my problems. It looks good enough that I can walk into shops and restaurants without feeling "dressed down", it keeps the wind out, but doesn't get too hot.
