Not worth the money even at 60% off
By Hikin' RodVerified Reviewer from San Diego, CA on 5/28/2008
Cons:
Breaks Easily
Bottom Line:
No, I would not recommend this to a friend

I used this watch for about a month before taking it on a week long trip to Yosemite National Park. I wore it on an 8+ mile hike with about 5200 feet of elevation change. It quit before 10:00 am. A day or two later I got to a camera shop and bought a new battery only to find when I opened the watch that it was wet inside and badly corroded. Since it had never been immersed I can only conclude that sweat had leaked into the watch. Any watch designed for sporting use MUST be able to withstand moisture up to dunking in a stream in order to be of any use.

Pros:

Cons:
Bulky Design, Unreliable
Best Uses:
Good tri watch-waterproof, Running
Describe Yourself:
Competitive Athlete
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

First watch, one of the pulse sensors did not work. Replacement watch, Alarm tone and/or beep did not work. Probably playing the fool, but because it is a $100 plus watch that I got for [$] I am giving it one more chance. When its working it does have some cool features that others do not. But after past failures (which I am hoping were just flukes) maybe thats why its 60% off.

Good product for the price

I use this product while running and weight lifting. It's been a good product but the heart rate measurements have had some variations. If I meausre my HR in the middle of a workout, I might get rates of 160, 168, 154 within a few seconds.Fortunately, it arrived with two batteries. The first battery (installed) died within 24 hours. On the plus side, the manual mentioned that this could be the case.Setting the various features is a bit difficult both because the buttons are in an odd location and because of the process you have to go through.Overall, I'd recommend the watch. The price [...] was great and it's been working up to my expectations. The problems I've had are very minor, from my perspective.
