Excellent boot; best of category
By KellyVerified Reviewer from Pennsylvania on 3/16/2006
Pros:
Lightweight, Rugged, Sturdy, Stylish, Warm
Cons:
Doesn't Pack Well
Best Uses:
Comfort, Light backcountry, Recreational

I love this boot except for two things. I think the tongue surfacing material is flimsy and I wish they'd just made it out of GoreTex or Cordura since the stuff that's on there usually cracks after time. I would also recommend a 3/4 heel/ball instep, or a complete footbed. If you go without one your feet will get tired very quickly. Overall, this is a very sturdy boot that can handle about anything you'll run into while traveling in rolling hill country. I run this boot on 195cm Karhu Pinnacles, and you can carve in powder on rolling hills without effort. If you're into hardcore backcountry you'd be advised to look at a much different setup, but these are great for all-around nordic touring off the beaten track.
