Ideal for wet/dry, in and out of the water summer days, Canyon Shorts are basically Mountain Hardwear's Canyon Pants with shorter legs (the inseam is 7" for men; 6" for women). The Supplex fabric is light, quick-to-dry, and unlined. To help you keep your cool, it is treated to move body moisture while it's vapor - before it becomes sweat. The waist is seamless and conically-cut to nest atop your hips without bunching-the fit is smooth and non-chafing under a pack belt. A twill web belt (with low profile buckle) keeps your shorts where they should be if you take a swim, and the crotch is gusseted for extended range of motion. Back pockets (which are welted on the women's version) close via a zip on one hip and with Velcro on the other; they both have drain holes. You can dig deep in the front hand pockets (with mesh drain insets) even while wearing a pack belt.
