Sizing:
Feels true to size
Pros:
Good protection from cold, Good protection from wind
Cons:
Glasses fog
Best Uses:
Hiking
Describe Yourself:
Casual/ Recreational
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

I bought the WindStopper Face Mask by Outdoor Research for my daily 20 minute walk to and from work in Wisconsin winters. It is excellent. I wish the extra large size would have been available, but the large size does work for me. The mask goes on quickly and does not mess up my hair. It fogs my glasses less than any other solution I have used and it is an excellent shield from wind and frost bite.

Better than anything I've worn before

I wear this when I'm running in the open on a sub-15-or-20-degree day with a brisk wind when you really start to feel your cheeks start to freeze. On those days it's awesome. It totally keeps my face comfortable, and it does not impede my breathing at all. The mesh blocks any wind, but does not block fresh air from coming in. For me, the only thing that bothers me is how much moisture is trapped behind the mesh, but the moisture is localized, and does not seem to spread out underneath the mask, and probably helps to warm and condition the air I'm breathing through the mesh. The sizing chart said I was Medium, but I know I have a big head and ordered the Large anyway, which seems to fit great, so I rate the item as "fitting a half size too small".Bottom line - better than anything I've worn before, and I look forward to using it on those really frigid days. Only reason not 5 stars is due to the moisture trapping and cost I paid [...]
