I had to exchange the 10s I originally ordered for 12s. I think I'm noticing that there are two sizing charts for Arcteryx, which I buy a lot. If the piece is made in China, I need a 12. If it's made in Thailand, I need a 10. That's annoying, but might help get the right size the first time, if it's true. I'm 5'10" and an athletic 160#. These pants are well-made and they look stylish enough to wear out to dinner. Since they're 100% cotton, I'd never wear them hiking or backpacking. They'd be tough enough for climbing but they feel too heavy and restrictive to me for reaching for a hold. I can only imagine how they'd cling if I sweated even a bit while climbing. I like them for casual use though. Great for gardening, cleaning, dirty work. And nicer looking than jeans.
I use these pants for climbing in the fall and winter they are great!!! The only thing I wish they had more of is pockets for multi-pitches... but thats it!! They fit so great if you have a small waist and a round butt these will fit you great, they run alittle big, I usually wear an 8 and ordered a 6 fits great!!!
These pants are as advertized. I especially like the lined waistband, and the articulated legs. These will make a nice alternative to the now too common cargo pants.
