Nice pants, but...

Pros of the pants -- soft material, very comfortable
Cons of the pants -- construction -- had to order a size larger than usual and the waist was still a bit snug for my taste. I like waist fits to be non-binding. I kept them, though! Also, a friend had a similar opinion about the waist being snug on her Trinity's too, so I don't think it was a fluke with my pair.

[...] these pants are cut high in the waist and bunch up in the front. I don't have a belly, but these pants give me one! I have a smaller waist, so I'm accustomed to having room there, but these pants add an additional poof in the front. Too bad. The fabric is SO soft I was tempted to keep the pants anyway.

Super smooth finish and nice fit. Had to remove the weird elastic in the waistband because the huge buttons hit right on my hip bones. Easy to do, though.

I normally wear a women's size 6 to 8 (or misses 8 to 10) depending on the style, so I ordered a Large and these pants fit me perfectly ... not tight, not loose. The waistband is cut to be higher in the back -- the snap is below my belly button, but when I sit down, I don't expose my butt. I have muscular thighs and the legs are roomy without being bulky.

I'm 5'7" and they're nice and long, too -- I have to roll them up one turn when I'm in flip flops, but they're perfect with hiking boots.

The fabric is sweet -- very soft! Dirt brushes off pretty easily. Quick drying and cool in the heat.

In short, these fit the bill so well, that I turned around and ordered two more pair!

I got these pants as a gift for Mother's Day - they are great. I liked them so much I immediately ordered another pair and the Trinity shorts as well. I love the soft, suede-like touch of the fabric. They wash beautifully!

Great fabric, and I love the ultra-adjustable waistband. BUT... the sizing is wildly inconsistent. I have had a pair of size large for 2 years, which fit well. I like my pants loose in the hips, and with that adjustable waistband I could make the waist fit fine. They were way too long, but shrank enough after many dryings. I ordered a 2nd pair in another color. Size L was WAY too small, so I ordered an XL, even though I don't wear XL in any other clothing. The XL were even longer than my original L, with a smaller waist and narrower leg. I'll keep them (I'll have to hem them) because I love the pants so much, but I can't believe how erratic the sizing is. Having said that, I've worn these pants all over Europe and the Rocky Mountains, climbing, hiking, and around town. I recommend them, but don't be surprised if you have to try several sizes.

I love this pant. I have 3 pairs and plan on buying more. For California weather, I can wear this pant all year on multi-pitch climbs or just a day at the crag. The waist sits perfect under a harness and the cargo pocket is great for chapstick, a windshirt and some Gu.

Did all I asked of them in Seattle
By JennVerified Purchaser from Denver, CO on 4/13/2006
Pros:
Breathable, Comfortable, Lightweight, Packable
Best Uses:
Casual Wear, Hiking, Travel

I bought these because I was looking for lightweight, quick-drying pants that didn't look like "hiking pants" (i.e., obvious nylon, webbing belt etc.). I wore them while walking around Seattle in the rain. I could see they were wet - the water was actually beading on them - but I never felt wet even though I spent most of the day outside. They felt and performed great!
