this jacket was better than I had expected and I always buy black jackets which was not available so I purchased the brown which is very pretty for a brown. There is a cute pink printed lining that I really think makes this a special jacket. The lining of the pockets is very soft and warm and I love the zipper pocket on the left sleeve ( great for a few keys and a right handed person ) . the jacket is also very light weight but warm.

I really love this jacket. I got it in the Diamond Blue, which is really pretty and the flowered lining is a nice surprise. I wore it out on a very cold night and I didn't even feel the cold. The hood is wonderful and really makes a difference on a day that is both windy and cold. The jacket is nice and light and keeps me warm without that puffy look of some jackets. If it zipped into a shell it would be perfect, but I'm very pleased with it overall.

I tried on many down jackets made by TNF. The Nuptse is very warm, zips up easily and allows a full range of movement without feeling too "puffy". It's great for playing in the snow and keeping warm during walks in even the most bitter conditions I've encountered.
However, this jacket is not tailored to fit a women's body like some other models, and if you are petite like me, even though it doesn't feel too puffy, it might look too puffy for your size. At the same time, the elastic at the sleeves is too tight and constricting for my taste.
There is one good-sized internal pocket, but I wish it had more internal pockets like some other models (for cell phones, MP3 players, etc.)
The hood fits well, but it is not detachable and sometimes feels as though it's in the way.
Overall, this is a warm, well-made jacket that could use some extra pockets and a more "woman friendly" fit.
