I still have to wear a sports bra under this for anything active. It could be worn without one, depending on your build, but the support is not as firm as I like. But it's not unsupportive. I wore this backpacking with a heavy two-night pack and climbing gear. I had no chafing. Good wicking! Wore it climbing on a warm day and it felt good too.
