This vest performs well against the chilly wind, but cannot be worn alone. Very good as a second layer though.

Got this year's version (2 back open storage pockets and one zip pocket, like a bike jersey; and minus the really weird looking shoulder wing/epaulets on last year's model; note last year's model alos only has one zip back pocket, not the 3 back) and it fits very well, not too long in the torso (wh can be a problem with one way/nondual zippers). No hand warmer pockets but this is not for strolling, truly a performance vest, and you get the multiple pockets in the back. Totally wind proof in front, breathable in back and SO light and comfy. Wear it now to run or walk my dogs but also intend to use it as a wind proof layer for cross country skiing (found the transitions featherweight windshirt too hot for intense xc-sking). Wonderful product, worth the price. Really nice looking.
