Red Rock Rendezvous 2009 FAQs
Q: I live in Las Vegas and would like to attend Red Rock Rendezvous. Do I need to stay at the camp ground or can I just go home every day?
A: You do not need to stay at the campground to participant in the events during the Rendezvous.

Q: I did not receive an email confirmation after I registered. What happened?
A: Your Internet Service Provider (ISP) may be blocking our emails or your email SPAM filter settings might be moving our emails from your in box to your junk email folder. Please add redrock@mountaingear.com to your contacts list. AOL users will need to call AOL for assistance on receiving our emails.

Q: Will order of registration impact choice of clinics?
A: Yes. Early online registrants will have the first opportunity to enroll in the climbing clinics when they're available.

Q: What is the cancellation policy?
A: You will be refunded all but a ten dollars per cancellation before March 9th. After March 16th no refunds will be given.

Q: Will there be clinics and events for someone at my level – I am a fairly new climber?
A: Yes, there are clinics offered at all levels from beginning to advanced. We are also offering a Friday "Intro to Climbing" day this year which we strongly recommend for those new to the sport.

Q: How do I rate my ability?
A: Beginner:
Has limited climbing experience. May have never climbed at all or may have only climbed outside a few times.

Intermediate:
Understands all the basics of climbing. Knows how to belay and tie-in. May have limited leading experience. May have limited experience following a multi-pitch climb.

Advanced:
Has climbed extensively outside. Understands the principals of leading. Has followed a multi-pitch climb. May have led a multi-pitch climb.

Q: Can I buy the "Intro to Climbing" Package without taking the Friday "Intro" clinic?
A: No. The climbing package was created specifically to be a part of the Friday "Intro to Climbing" Package.

Q: Do we need our own climbing gear(shoes, etc)?
A: Yes, we highly recommend that you bring your own gear – shoes, helmet, harness, etc.

Q: How do I get to Spring Mountain?
A: Spring Mountain Ranch State Park is located 15 miles west of Las Vegas, via Charleston Blvd., in the Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area.

Q: Is there an age limit for participants to be able to take a clinic?
A: Yes. Climbers must be at least 12 years old to participate in a clinic.
