A Cadillac among sleeping pads, the NeoAir All Season from Therm-a-Rest supplies an R value of 4.9, an incredible level of warmth in an air mattress, without the weight or bulk found in conventional foam designs – 1 lb 3 oz for size regular. The secret to this plush pad is its Triangular Core Matrix that traps warm air in over 100 internal cells that also provide greater stability than that found in other tube-based pads. Expect warmth on a stable, super-durable all-season mattress minus the usual amount of weight. |

Comments about Cascade Designs Inc NeoAir All Season Sleeping Pad: We all knew it was compact, but this is impressively warm and light too! I was admittedly skeptical of the performance claims online, but the first time I gingerly crawled on, it felt like there was a heating pad under my back within about 30 seconds. The horizontal baffles are more comfortable and seem to resist downhill slippage a little more than my previous insulated airpad. The pumpsack idea took longer than it should have to figure out, and was just kind of awkward. I still had to firm up the mattress with a few lung puffs, as you can't build up quite enough pressure in the bag. That said, I will definitely use it since it minimizes the introduction of condensation into the interior, which can be a huge problem in cold weather due to ice formation on the inside. This isn't the lightest of the NeoAir line, but for 4-season comfort, 16 or 17 oz. (depending on the size) is quite respectable. I also have hopes it will be more durable than the XLite, given previous reviewers' comments. However, I haven't trail tested it yet, and that remains to be seen. Packs down very easily and there's no need to worry about compressing the fill as with insulated pads thanks to the reflective structures inside. I will say that it isn't as quiet as the downfilled airpad I demoed before choosing this one for the weight savings. Overall, if you can't afford a pad unique to every venture, I'd highly recommend this as a "quiver of one." Can't wait to try it on my backpacking trip next week...

Comments about Cascade Designs Inc NeoAir All Season Sleeping Pad: After weeks of reading comments, checking ratings, and comparing prices.I finally decided on the Thermarest Neo Air All Season. This sleeping pad has everything to offer.1)Its light weight 2)Has a great r value of 4.9 3)Easy and compact for backpacking. 4)Thermarest has made this pad more durable than the Neo Air.5)Comes with repair kit and stuff sack. The only setback maybe a little noisy when moving around on it.I decided to go with the large, A little bit wider so my arms don't feel like their dangling at night. All in all I look forward to using this on many backpacking trips.

Comments about Cascade Designs Inc NeoAir All Season Sleeping Pad: LOVE IT! Snowcamping: A Prolight 4 (prolite plus) always allowed too much radiation into the snow and was cold on a winter's day. Plus they took up too much space in the pack. I switched to a Downmat for the warmth & protection, it was great but heavy and bulky. Once the NeoAir came out I moved onto a NeoAir plus a Z-Rest, this was warm, redundant and light but a bulky and akward setup for moving fast. I jumped at NeoAir All Season and love it. After several nights on the snow with it now I can say i'll be reluctant to go back to the downmat or dual pad combo. Not only is it light but it packs small and is really quite warm. I've never heard it during the night but if you are sharing a tent with a very sensitive sleeper I imagine that they might notice you moving on the pad. Overall a really slick sleeping pad.
