I love my tikka but in comparison I had an energizer that was comparable to this headamp for half the price. Thebattery seems to last and the light is plenty bright enough to handle nearly any job or adventure.

This headlamp is awesome. Way brighter than I ever expected, and definitely an upgrade from the previous Tactikka versions in terms of illuminative power. Thus, I now own two Petzl headlamps, this being the brighter and more powerful of the two for higher lighting demands like lighting up a trail, the other for around camp and whatnot. Once a petzl guy, always a petzl guy.

Perfect for use in camp, and light enough not to think about throwing it in the pack. One downside is if I don't use it then my buddies want to borrow it. Not a great light for long night hiking, or night mountain biking; but it works in a pinch.

I like the ability to see further in closed spaces leaving my hands free. Don't really see the purpose for the blinking feature, would rather be able to focus.

This really is the best headlamp you can buy and fairly inexpensive. The huge bulky $100 headlamps are a waste of money with this one on the market. The Lumins it puts out are brighter then any other lamp. Easy to use power button. (much better then the Tikka plus switch where it would constantly get stuck.) I use my head lamp for 2-3 hours, 9-day tours, about 10 of them. meaning that's about 200 hours of use on the same batteries and it is still beaming strong. No need to look at any other headlamp.

Great product, super light and batteries last nearly forever. Better construction and design than the original Tikka. Great for reading in the tent and camp use. Not quite bright enough for dedicated night hiking but it will work for that when needed.
