    These, like all modern ice screws are light, and crank in easily after the teeth catch. What makes the Helix's unique for me is how easily you can get them to bite. The teeth and threading are similar to other brands but the head is what make these superior in my opinion. It is very easy to palm the head when getting the teeth to bite, no fumbling, no starter hole ever needed. I've used the other major brands and these are the only way to go in those desperate moments.
