Comments about Petzl Spiky Crampon: Practical to use on an every day basis. I wear them to get safely round the block or from car to work. They were recommended for ease of use by a family member who used to sell them in the UK. A few studs have fallen off which makes them feelless secure than I would prefer. It would be great if I could get replacements as I am told they are not to hard to replace but I can't find any where to purchase them. I was told to buy at least one size bigger than website suggests and that has worked for me.

Comments about Petzl Spiky Crampon: After three years recreational hiking use with boots I bought a second set last year for use with running shoes (for casual use and trail running). Although the mediums had fit my size 42 hiking boots very well I went down to a small size for the 8.5 running shoes, and they work great!

Best Uses Comments about Petzl Spiky Crampon: I used these crampons on a 2 1/2 hour hike over ice and snow and took them off within 15 minutes. They did not stay on hiking boots. Slipped off front of boots constantly. Best use, around town, ice and snow for safety only.
Pros
Cons Best Uses Comments about Petzl Spiky Crampon: These do a great job of making running in the winter easier. The main part of the Spiky is about as thick as an inner tube which makes it so that your stride is minimally affected by wearing them. The spikes do great on compact snow and ice, but struggle on loose snow where tread is required.

Comments about Petzl Spiky Crampon: Can be put on dress shoes with one hand - helps to have two hands for adjustment with boots. They always stay on your shoes. I've never slipped with them on. The carbide tips really show no appreciable wear after 4+ years (even with some pavement walking) - almost like new. Get them as gifts for family and friends - especially your parents and older friends, who don't really need anything, but don't need to slip on the ice! Service and delivery comments: Delivery was prompt and product arrived in new, excellent condition.
