Been using this for a month now and really like it. Good fit, size and durability along with simple thought out features. Fabric holds up to abuse well and it rides above your harness. For trad climbs this pack will hold, approach shoes, water, lunch and layers but don't expect to put your rack in there. After a modification you can easily clip your rope underneath but unless you make it a micro coil it will hit the back of your legs and catch on loose rocks so be careful.

its a good pack if ur partner is not getting anything in there but my partner is my girlfriend and we can bearly fit in there. In our case we climb with our babygirl and her back pack is the babies back pack now so I get all the gear and its a little tite but its all in there.

I originally got this pack for long multi-pitch climbing during a week at Red Rock. It's perfect! It's just big enough to stow the rack and incidentals in the pack for the approach. The hydration pouch protected my large bladder great. It would be nice to have a removable clip on the rope straps, but that is an easy modification. It's really not that big of a deal to get the rope in there anyway. The daisy's are nice to clip up whatever you can't fit, or don't want in the pack (read climbing shoes). The suspension is great! The pack sits high enough that it doesn't mess with getting gear off your harness, but at the same time you don't hit your head on it when you look up. It's low profile enough that you forget it's even there when your climbing. The best feature of all is the guidebook pocket. It's really nice to be able to get to the guidebook without having to open the pack and risk accidently pulling out and dropping something else. Very well designed pack for long trad routes.

this pack is practically perfect for multi-pitch climbing or a day at the crag. it holds everything needed for a full day of climbing including shoes, biners, cams & nuts, harness, and cordage & webbing. the straps on the bottom of the pack are for holding a coil of rope, but for whatever reason, the straps are attached with a regular cinch strap and DO NOT have quick release buckles - making loading & unloading the rope a real pain. I solved this by attaching buckles to the straps, and now its 100% PERFECT. everything you need - nothing you dont. the pack also rides high so when lead climbing with the pack on, you can still reach your gear loops / chalk bag on your harness. for an extra added bonus, I use the metolious rope bag to hold my rope, and then attach that bag to the bug using the quick release buckles I installed. and the daisy chain front is nice for clipping on random biners or key rings, etc. . . All in all, a great pack.

I intended on buying this pack for day hikes, but after using it a couple of times on day hikes, which it was perfect for carrying the essentials. It was so comfortable that I starting using it for school, carrying my folders, papers, books and computer it came in real handy and its the perfect size for anything it has just enough space and not to many pockets and stuff, I would say "buy it, it's worth it."

The pack is perfect for multi-pitch climbing. Unfortunately the hip belt buckle would not hold the hip belt tightly so I had to buy a replacement buckle.
