Comments about Julbo, Inc Explorer Glacier Glasses:

Got these primarily for above tree line mountaineering on snow. With the intense sun in Colorado spending a day on snow above 12,000 ft can be seriously hard on your eyes, These glasses do a great job not only filtering the sunlight, but also blocking it from leaking around the sides. Down side to that is the peripheral vision is not as good as an Oakley blade style glasses. Not a problem when in the wilderness alone, but was using them hiking on a popular trail and it is much harder to see the mtn bikers coming up from behind.
Tremendous ability to not fog up. Far better than any other set of sun glasses I have.
The bendable ear pieces are extremely handy. Can easily change from a straight style to a wrap around the ear style as best suits the head gear you have on.
Only down side is I wish the removable side sheilds could be purchased separately. I would much rather have the neon green version on my white frames than the red ones.
If you need serious eye protection that doesn't fog up these are what you want.

Comments about Julbo, Inc Explorer Glacier Glasses:

Great glacier glasses. Typically excellent Julbo quality. Tried the standard size and they were too small for my fairly large mellon (size 7 3/4). The XLs were a much better fit. The goldilocks in me wishes the XLs were just a little smaller. That is the one very minor drawback to these glasses, they don't seem to fit every face, but if they do fit yours you can't find a better pair for high altitude exploits and very bright conditions. I went with the Spectron lenses, fantastic optical clarity. Personally I prefer non-polarized lenses for extensive glacier travel. I find the non-polarized lenses make it a little easier to judge snow conditions and differentiate snow from ice. Very resistant to fogging.

Comments about Julbo, Inc Explorer Glacier Glasses:

After burning my eyes twice this last season I wanted to find a good pair of glasses. My Oakly half jackets have a gap at the bottom that allowed significant reflection onto my eyes.

I tried on so many and these fit my criteria: full coverage, comfortable, and dark. Personally I like that they have the old school bug eyed look that glacier glasses have.

Mgear does not carry the "camel" lenses that are photo-chromatic (changes with light intensity) and polarized. A much better lens option but significantly more cashola.

Julbo produces the best glacier glasses and these are their top pair.

Comments about Julbo, Inc Explorer Glacier Glasses:

Great pair of glacier glasses. extremly dark and great coverage even without the removeable side shields. the fit is easliy adjusted by bending the arms as you see fit.

I do have a concerns with them though i have had them for about a month now and they are already scratched, so i am not too sure about the durability of the lenses (i am deployed to Iraq so this could be part of the problem as my use is probably harsher here than back home) my second concern is that the arms block a significant portion of your peripheral vision, but then again these are glacier glasses and meant to keep as much light as possible out of your eyes.

all in all another quality product from Julbo
