Beat the chill and stay cozy warm in Mountain Hardwear's Nitrous Jacket - an ultra lightweight down shell that provides the perfect amount of 800-fill down insulation to warm up your core.

Easily compressible, this instant insulation is great to keep packed away in your pack for when you need it. The jacket stows in its own pocket and the quilted construction holds insulation in place.

Comments about Mountain Hardwear Nitrous Jacket - Men's:

I havn't taken it out yet, but it's in my pack as my new emergency layer for splitboarding. The fit was spot on. I didn't bother with stuffing it in the pocket just a bivvy sack.

Comments about Mountain Hardwear Nitrous Jacket - Men's:

I am 51 and grew up believing that Down coats are meant to keep you warm in cold weather, and that means 0-30 degree weather. This down coat does not keep you warm in that kind of weather all by itself, it is too thin, and it is better used inside a hardshell with another fleece coat inside of that. It pathetically requires layering for cold weather and expensive down coats should not require layering. I feel that Mountain Hardware miss-represnteded this coat by saying that it has 800 down fill giving the false idea that it will keep you warm in whatever weather. Very unhappy with this purchase.
