For technical cold-weather climbing and mountaineering, the Scarpa Phantom 6000 mountaineering boot employs a thermo liner, waterproof and abrasion-resistant Lorica upper, and an incorporated waterproof nylon gaiter - all in a full-zip design that keeps your feet warm and dry.

Trust these boots in the most extreme conditions - the strong rubber sole accepts crampons with ease and they're designed as light as possible for technical ascents.

Comments about Scarpa Phantom 6000 Mountaineering Boot:

A bit cumbersome to put on. You have to take the liner out, put it on and the step into the boot. Otherwise, it's a great boot - light weight and comfortable.

Comments about Scarpa Phantom 6000 Mountaineering Boot:

As with any boot, it all comes down to fit. My feet are a wide 9.5(US), and Scarpa has been best for me. I recently wore out a pair of Summits, and since I spend many cold days in the Canadian Rockies and the Lake Superior region, I decided to check out the 6000's.

The construction is bomb-proof, and the size 43 fits great with a medium-weight sock. My feet are rock solid in the boot, no movement at all, but they are also not compressed. Part of this is because Scarpa's lacing system and velcro tighteners are fantastic! Since it is a double boot, it is a bit bulkier and heavier than the Phantom Guide, but I've climbed M9 and WI6 in them and they perform really well!

I haven't used them in the cold yet, but given the fit and the inner liner boot, I'm (almost) looking forward to it!
