These shoes were comfortable on the first hike making a breakin period unnecessary. The shoe is stable with a load in my pack or without. The soles are very "grippy" on rock and deal well with mixed sand and rubble. They feel very solid like a boot but hike like a shoe. Comfortable yet upper back of heel cup material has pushed down and crunched up behind achilles tendon. Wrote to 5 10 and lo, over 1 yr. warranty. Seemed like material defect to me. Otherwise nice shoe but prefer salomon. Reviewed by 51 customers Sort by Displaying reviews 1-10 Previous | Next » Pros

Comments about Five Ten Camp Four Shoe - Men's: I will be using these shoes to walk Camino de Santiago in Spain. So far they have been comfortable from the day I got them out of the box. They run a little small, I usually wear a 10 women's on regular shoes and 10,5 on my tennis shoes these shoes I ordered in 9.5 Men's which is 11 women's. I had also ordered the men's 10 but those turned out too big. Once you get the right size they will feel great! I prefer a roomier shoe because me feet swell and I like wearing double socks. After trying about 20 different hiking and trail runners, I think they are the cutest most comfortable hiking shoes for me. I only wish they had gore-tex or some kind of water repellant on them.

Comments about Five Ten Camp Four Shoe - Men's: Im pretty hard on equipment and 510 shoes always hold up. These do seem to maybe run just a hair small. I have a narrow foot and need shoes that lace to toe and these fit perfectly. If you have a wide foot im not sure theyd fit right. Overall they are very comfortable and are holding up well.

Comments about Five Ten Camp Four Shoe - Men's: This shoe was great from the second I put it on. I have a bruised heal and with other shoes I feel like my heal is going through the bottom of it, but not with this shoe. You won't feel the rocks on those trail hicks due to the firm tread. I love this shoe, did I already say that?

Comments about Five Ten Camp Four Shoe - Men's: I bought these to replace my worn out Five Ten Mountain Masters. Loved those and would highly recommend them if they still made them. The camp four's ARE NOT at all like them. Too narrow (MM were wide), cushioning is poor. Used to hike in my MM, use as approach shoes, boulder with them, and do some 5.5 fo 5.7 routes with them. I can't do any of these things with the Camp Four. Will try some other model perhaps, but if no better will give up on 5-10's.

Comments about Five Ten Camp Four Shoe - Men's: Top notch product for approaching the crag or hiking some unstable rocky trails. It's even possible to climb up to 5.11's in these, solid shoe.

Comments about Five Ten Camp Four Shoe - Men's: I've been devoted to 5.10 footwear since they first hit the market. They have consistently great products. This CAMP FOUR is by far the best ever. This is an everything shoe until you need to bring out the plastic mountaineering boots. They're so great I'm going to get another pair right away for when these wear out. I would suggest ordering a half size larger (they tend to run small) particularly if you are a double sock believer like me.

Comments about Five Ten Camp Four Shoe - Men's: Worn right out of the box for a 25 mile weekend backpack and peak bagging trip. No blisters. Great sticky soles allow for treking and climbing on trails that traditional boots would slip. Only con is that gaiters are needed for scree fields to keep pebbles out.

Comments about Five Ten Camp Four Shoe - Men's: Size seems to run a bit small. After descending 1500 ft. I had sore toes and should have ordered a half size larger.
