Comments about Mountain Hardwear Direkt 2 - Tent:

got this tent as a gift from my gf for my patagonia trip. I wanted a light tent to bivy on at the glaciar or maybe on a ledge in the fitz roy range. I did use it in the glaciar and it worked really well on the ice. did not have any rain but did have some snow and it performed well. I liked that its so light and pretty fast to set up. then I went to torres del paine where it rain a LOT and the tent quickly became saturated and I woke up with a full nalgene of water inside. I was glad that I had put my tent on a slope so that all the water was at my feet and I could curl my legs and not get my sleeping bag too wet.
Bottom line: if you want a light tent and will be on ice/snow this is a good tent. But if you spect heavy rain go with something better like the bibler/bd tents.
