Who says you have to get out of bed? The Selk'bag 4G Classic is perfect for people who feel restricted by traditional sleeping bags or for a cozy alternative to wrapping up in a blanket around camp.

Velcro on the waist, wrists, and ankles prevents bag movement and excess bulk from impeding you from getting things done. Quick release closure on the sleeves allow you to easily free your hands so you can cook, play cards, or do other chores around camp while staying warm.

Our 26 yr old son had asked for this item for Christmas so we ordered and were happy to have purchased something he actually wanted. I had read the reviews about the fit, and was a bit concerned about the bag fitting his 6'2 1/2", 200 lb, athletic body, but ordered anyway. Unfortunatly, the reviews were correct, the bags are made with the shoulder to crotch dimension just too short. And who wants sleeping gear with no room in the crotch, no guy I know! When I first saw it, I was thinking my other two sons would be getting one (maybe dad too)but we're all 6'2" or 6'3" - Bummer! Suggest a "tall" version. Really enjoyed seeing the thing in person, but not sure just seeing it was worth the shipping expense (both ways) - oh well, certainly not MountainGear's fault, manufacturer just has ambitious fit chart, or very short torso models! (My recommendation, per above, would only be made to my "shorter" friends!)

unique product; hopefully second one will work out better with better zipper. Not good that product zipper split on first use. Zippers seem to be an issue with the fabric. Seems warm and fits perfectly. Surprisingly need a large for my slightly built 5'6" frame. Intended for spring camping in Northeast, hopefully second one will be better.

Comments about Musuc Selk'bag 4G Classic Synthetic Sleeping Bag:

The bag concept itself is awesome but the sizing is way off. We ordered a medium and it was very small. I'm 5'4" and 125 pounds and I had very little room in it. I would suggest ordering a larger size than recommended if you want to have any give in it. The length was ok but I couldn't have been any taller. Other than that the bag is very warm and perfect for cold camping nights or wherever you are that you want to stay we but be able to move. Love the hand openings!

Comments about Musuc Selk'bag 4G Classic Synthetic Sleeping Bag:

I got the red(chile) for my 5'4" (athletic build) wife for Christmas. She loved it!! It fit her well, but was tight when she sat in a chair, or stretched her arms up or around. Since I got it to wear around the house and sleep in when camping, that tightness is not good. Exchanged it for the large, and it works great now! She cinched the waist legs and arms, and she's wearing it all the time now. I tried out the large as well ( 6' or 6'1" slim build male), and it fits, but I have the same problem of it getting tight for larger ranges of movement. So if you're around the max of the size measurements, I'd recommend getting the next size up and using the Velcro cinching system.

I am 5'4 and and have additional weight for my height. The bag was perfect BUT to snug. I talked to customer service and ungraded to Pantagon. Perfect everything. Patagone gives me more room in the waist and the booties come off.I am able to go anywhere. The rating on temp. is accurate. I turn off the heat at night and I am so toastie in this walkabout bag. LOVE IT!

Seems to be a well built product. Design has been carefully thought through. Suggested sizing chart has a "suggested" category and a "maximum" category. I think they got a bit optimistic on the maximum. I'm finding the shoulder to crotch length a bit short for me. I'm 6' 1" and I bought an XL. So, if it says "suggested," then I suggest you stay within those dimensions.

I purchased a size large bag but unfortunately had to return it since it was too small for my body. I'm 5'8" tall, 152 pounds, 33 inch waist, 30 inch inseam. The arms and legs on the bag fit me well, however the crotch to shoulder length was *just* long enough to fit as long as I laid flat on my back and did not move. When I would try to roll onto my side the bag would squeeze me, pulling down on my shoulders and pulling up on my crotch. Since I often turn on my side when I sleep, I could foresee that this would be uncomfortable. I really wanted to keep this bag otherwise.
