When I am doing multiple rappels either to reach the base of a route or to descend a climb I always have a Piu 2 with me. I moved into the modern age of great belay devices after I gave my second traditional ATC away when another climber dropped his only belay device while on rappel in the Black Canyon. I always carry two belay devices on multi-pitch climbs and was sad to see my second go but glad when CAMP sent me the Piu 2. It seems to handle any size of rope perfectly on rappel and locks immediately when set up to auto block your second.
