Don't get me wrong these are a great product. Since I started lead climbing and got cams, I never use these obnoxious things. Rattle rattle here comes the cattle.

Comments about Wild Country Rockcentrics - Set 3-9:

I've been looking for an addition to my rack for a while that would give me a wider range of sizes at a reasonable price. -- This rockcentrics set is just the thing. With pieces ranging from about 1/2 inch to 2 1/2 inches all on slings they are priced right.

These place very easily, and have just a little bit of "rocker" so that they will cam into your placement when loaded. Not as much as say a Tri-cam, but enough to make these work better then the average passive nut.

The slings are a bonus, but are sewn in place, so when the slings wear out, I'll have to fork out some bucks to get them replaced, but that should be a few years down the road.

Weight wise, these add very little the rack, but they are a bit bulky and noisy, but that is always the case with things like this.

Overall, I'm very pleased - expect to get many years of use out of them.

Comments about Wild Country Rockcentrics - Set 3-9:

The rockcentrics asymetrical shape offer a variety of placement opportunities that are simmilar to a tri-cam. My experience with placing passive pro on Mt. Eire, WA was that these were less likely to walk out due to the dynema slings as opposed to wire slings. The next best thing would be a rack of cams, but these are great if you are just building a rack or looking to upgrade.

Easiest of the Hex variants to place. Saves a bunch of weight over SLCDs, especially in the big sizes.
