Providing great bang for your buck, the FreeWire Quickdraw from Black Diamond is a great addition to your arsenal.

Two Quicksilver wiregate biners reduce weight and get rid of any chance of gate flutter. The thick nylon dogbone prevents the carabiners from spinning and makes for easy handling and clipping so you spend less time fumbling with the rope and more time climbing.

Comments about Black Diamond FreeWire Quickdraw:

I only use these for outdoor climbing. I go out maybe once a month or so, and usually take several (short) falls.

The pros:
- I like the dogbones on these more than other models. They're wider, so they don't spin as easily, and they're easier to hold on to when hangdogging after a clip.
- They feel and look like they're built to last. The thinner slings may be stronger, but these give a visual reassurance that your gear will not fail.
- They have a rubber loop to keep the rope-side carabiner from turning around. I find this to be particularly useful, because some other entry-level models that don't have this rubber will spin and make clipping so much more painful.

Cons:
- They're heavier than other models. With the wide nylon dogbone, this is to be expected.
- The rope-side carabiner is a straight-gate. This is by no means a deal-breaker, but bent-gate carabiners are easier to clip.

Overall:
If you're a serious climber pushing the limits of the sport, these will not be a good choice. If you're just starting out, or looking for some solid, bare-bones quickdraws that won't break the bank, these fit the bill perfectly. They are an excellent value, which is why everyone and their mother has them! You really need to mark your gear well to make sure your buddies don't accidentally take your quickdraws.

Black Diamond has had another mission success with this draw. It's light weight, versatile, and in my opinion the best on the market. Wether you are just starting to climb or you go every weekend, these are definitely worth a try.

Comments about Black Diamond FreeWire Quickdraw:

I own a dozen or so, and there my go to draws. There are better draws out there, for sure, but these don't claim to be the best, and you certainly are not paying top dollar. That being said you flippin get your moneys worth for these draws, there are other draws out there that are easily twice as much, but no draw is twice as good. If your getting started or already have your super nice draws, and are looking to fill out your sport/trad rack, then these are perfect. The only down side I have run into with these is that at some crags where I climb, everyone has them, so that can get confusing, so be sure to mark them, and you'll love them for years to come.
