Comments about Black Diamond Ice Box:

I purchased this item off of several reviews because I travel a lot for a living and wanted a safe way to transport my ice climbing gear. I do like the size of the carry case and the ice screw component is also a removable to take in the field. The room for ice axes is nice but they do touch each other. I would like to see a larger storage pocket inside or even an internal daisychain or some type of thing to clip a lot of gear onto. I rigged my own daisychain to put in there and it's nice to have all of my gear in one spot. This is a nice item and I definitely would recommend purchasing this if you fly or transport your ice gear often. This will protect your gear from being damaged as well as your other stuff from being damaged from your ice axes. Definitely worth the buy!

Comments about Black Diamond Ice Box:

This item is nice for travel or storage of ice climbing equipment. It is not the ideal bag for climbing days, since you will be packing your gear into a backpack style bag for approaches. It doesn't pack down very well when empty making it something you will more likely leave in the vehicle at the trailhead. Overall nice product to keep gear together and safe during the off season!
