There's more going on here than a bright, anodized finish - the Jaws belay device from Trango handles anything, from heavy loads and long rappels to just about any rope you want to throw at it.

This device comes in particularly handy for smaller climbers with a heavier belay partner, with it, they get a new measure of control thanks to the Jaws' superior braking capability created by the double V-notch design that enables a more secure lock-off.

Comments about Trango Jaws Belay Device:

Love this device when belaying larger than me climbers. It creates enough friction for me to lower without fear of the dreaded rope burn to the hand and makes it easier for me to stop a fall and hold the climber in place without the climber slipping a foot or two that sometimes happens with a regular ATC. The added friction does add a degree of difficulty to feeding out slack.

Comments about Trango Jaws Belay Device:

I love this ATC. It can handle double rope rappels and long trad climbs. It bites down great for those times you need it. Rope flows smoothly through the device. Especially good for smaller climbers and women who do not always have the weight behind them that the guys do. The one piece of gear everyone is trying to scam off me.
