I am so frustrated by the fit of climbing shoes. Mail order probably isn't the best way to buy these articles but the price was so good I had to try.
I have no problems with the quality of the product but the fit of climbing shoes is so diverse it's just maddening to me. I bought a size 11 (my street shoes size)from another vendor because my 5.10 Spires fit so tight in size 10.5. I sent them back because I couldn't even get my foot in. They didn't have a half size up so when I saw them in 11.5 on MG I ordered them. Well the shoe was still so tight that my toes were crunched vertical and my arch didn't even touch the arch of the shoe. I've decided to just see what I can find locally.

Maybe it's just my foot so don't take this 3 star review as bad on the product. Just remember to size up.

Comments about Evolve Sports & Designs Predator G2 Rock Shoe:

This is my second pair of this style, I've had Evolv resole my first pair twice and decided I needed a 2nd pair while the first is out of action. The first pair where wicked tight, but after a month they stayed really tight but became like a second skin. These are close in performance to 5.10's team shoe but not so painful you'd cry. I where a street 10.5 and all my rock shoes are a 9.5. The only thing I wouldn't recommend these for is a long sport or trad routes, but I press them into that b/c they perform so well.

Comments about Evolve Sports & Designs Predator G2 Rock Shoe:

The sizing recommendation on this shoe is wrong. I have worn tons of climbing shoes from various companies. This is the smallest, most uncomfotable shoe ive bought. Recommendation is to buy a half size up from street shoe, but I rec at min one size or even size and a half.

Comments about Evolve Sports & Designs Predator G2 Rock Shoe:

This is my fifth pair. I think it is a great high performance shoe with great edging and
Just the right amount of rigidity for my liking. It appears Evolv is discontinuing this shoe much to my dismay.

Comments about Evolve Sports & Designs Predator G2 Rock Shoe:

I use this shoe for my all around shoe it's a very agressive shoe and is ment for bouldering but I find it works in other aspects of climbing. Because off its extremely down turned toe it is uncomfortable to wear for long periods of time put but it gets the job done.

Comments about Evolve Sports & Designs Predator G2 Rock Shoe:

I use this product for everything, outdoors when I go (not often) and indoors which I do a few times a week.

The shoes look awesome and are able to grab small holds well. The problem is that they hurt my feet so much I can't wear them long at a time and then my feet are in too much pain to stand on small holds.

I do like the shoes, I just wish I had got my street shoe size instead of half a size down, or maybe got some less aggressive shoes.

Comments about Evolve Sports & Designs Predator G2 Rock Shoe:

These shoes are perfect for bouldering. Snug, stiff, and aggressive, they toe extremely well on steep terrain. Because of the ample heel rubber and foot-hugging fit, they also heelhook very well. I would recommend these specifically for bouldering or overhanging sport climbing. Size down for bouldering to get the best results from its aggressive fit. I've climbed slab and vertical rock with these as well- and they also perform here. But they really shine on steep rock.

Disclaimer: Not a big boldering guy and climbing only for a few years x2-3/wk. Got this shoes at the recommendation of friends that are hard core climbers. Despite taking a shoe that was 1/2 size larger I was not able to get comfortable in them and settled down for the more down to earth and comfy model defy VTR. Rated at 3 stars as I can not really comment on their qualities.
