Comments about Petzl Rocpec Drill:

A must for drilling bolts. I didn't hit my hand once and missed a bunch. The only thing is that it'll pinch your hand sometimes when you strike it between the silver part and black part (the part that slides down to insert drill bit). Worth the weight. If you got the dough and it's not illegal in your area, get the bosch battery drill. Much faster.

    Comments about Petzl Rocpec Drill:

The difference from a "homemade" drill to this one, is the same from this one to a battery hammer drill! It´s awesome, many light-year ahead of other "hand drills". You can see the whole going deeper quickly! Definitely a "must go" on the drilling universe.

      Comments about Petzl Rocpec Drill:

I have a hammer drill that I use to put up routes around Montana, but some of the rock that is around here I have a really hard time drilling. I borrowed a friends Rocpec and was able to drill a hole in the rock faster by hand than with the electric drill!

      Comments about Petzl Rocpec Drill:

It seems very well constructed and compacted. The bit is easy to take in and out, but is hard to do so one handed. I like the hole in the hand protection for holing the bit when not in use.

      Watch your fingers!

      Comments about Petzl Rocpec Drill:

Nice leash set-up. Easy SDS drill swaps. But watch out for pinched fingers. If you hit the head of the drill just right, the spring loaded drill retention ring has a tendency to snap back and forth, easily pinching your fingers.
